In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 2.4 of the Export and Import Policy, 2002-07 and paragraph 1.1 of Handbook of Prospectus (Vo.I), the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following addition / correction / amendment in the book titled “Schedule of DEPB Rates”.

I)    Product Group : Engineering                                  Product Code:  61 

i)  The value cap of entry at Sl.No.113 is fixed to Rs.325/- per kg.
ii) The description of the export product of Sl.No.132 is amended to read as:-  
    “Round/Elliptical/Oval Tin Plate Container and / or Components thereof.”
iii) The description of the export product of Sl.No.321 is corrected to read as:-  
     “Magnetic assemblies incorporating cast alloy permanent magnets viz. Pot
     magnets, magnetic wielding clamps / links, Magnetic lifting devices,
     magnetic racks / vices / door catches / vee blocks bases / hold fast.”
iv) The description of the export product of Sl.No.527 is amended to read as:-
     “Automotive Oil Filter / Fuel Filter / Spin-on Filters / Oil or Fuel Filter 
     
Assembly / Canister-Lub Oil Filter / Air Filter”

II) Product Group : Electronic                                       Product Code: 83 

The description of the export product of SL.No.1 is amended to read as:-
“ Electronic Rotary Spraying Machine / Cabin of different types / widths
 fitted with or without steam operation chambers, guns, pumps, economizer”

III) Product Group : Miscellaneous                              Product Code: 90 

After the existing entry at Sl.No.28, the following new entry is inserted :-

IV)  Explanatory Note : In the explanatory note below General Instruction No.11 for  DEPB Rates the following shall be incorporated :-

“For the purpose of determining the eligibility of entitlement to DEPB
under this entry, a self-declaration to be furnished by the exporter to
this effect will be accepted by the Customs Authorities. In case of doubt
or where there is any information contrary to the declarations, the
authority shall resort for physical verification with regard to such
declarations.

V)    AD-HOC DEPB RATES :

Further, in pursuance to para 4.38 A of Hand Book of Procedures, Vol.I
as amended (upto 31.3.2003) providing for fixation of DEPB rates
applicable for a limited period and as per Guidelines issued vide Policy
Circular No.12.(RE-2003)/2002-2007 dt. 11.7.2003, the following ad-hoc
DEPB rates have been fixed.-
